🧶 Product Specifications:
• Manufacturer: Loro Piana, Italy
• Article: Cablelight
• Fiber Content: 100% Cashmere
• Yarn Weight: Lace
• Yarn Count: Nm 3/20
• Yardage: 667 meters / 100g (729 yards / 3.52 oz)

✨ Texture & Feel:
Featherlight, airy, and smooth with a delicate halo that blossoms after blocking. Lightly waxed for industrial knitting, this yarn softens and blooms beautifully after the first few washes—revealing a fuller body and dreamy halo. Naturally breathable with gentle elasticity, it offers cozy warmth without overheating thanks to the thermoregulating qualities of pure cashmere.

🧶 Recommended Uses:
• Lace shawls, stoles, and scarves
• Featherlight sweaters and cardigans
• Baby garments and accessories
• Woven wraps or luxury scarves
• Layering tees and fine lace garments

🧷 Recommended Needles/Hooks:
• Best used held single, double, or triple depending on the project
• Knitting: 2.25mm–3.5mm (US 1–4)
• Crochet: 2.0mm–3.0mm
Swatching is highly recommended to explore bloom and stitch definition.

🧵 Weaving Suitability:
Perfect for both warp and weft in ultra-fine woven fabric. This yarn is ideally suited to delicate scarves, wraps, and heirloom textiles. Sizing may be needed for warp use. Adjust tension carefully to accommodate softness and bounce.

🔍 Gauge & Behavior Notes:
• Spun to a plump laceweight (Nm 3/20), this yarn is easier to work with than finer lace counts
• Bloom becomes visible after blocking, along with increased softness and drape
• May bias slightly in stockinette when worked single, but responds beautifully to textured stitches
• Offers good stitch definition in lace and openwork patterns

🪡 Working with Multiple Strands:
• Held single, it creates a delicate fabric with great breathability and definition
• Held double, you’ll get a soft sport-weight fabric ideal for layering garments
• Held triple, it creates a light DK with extra body and warmth
• Pairs beautifully with mohair or silk lace for luxury blending

📘 Project Ideas:
• Knit a whisper-soft v-neck pullover using 300g held single
• Crochet a light shawl with 150g held double
• Weave a gradient scarf alternating single and double-stranded areas
• Use triple strands to create a warm baby wrap or oversized cowl

🧪 Blending Possibilities:
• Hold with silk mohair for enhanced halo and texture
• Combine with superfine merino for strength and subtle bounce
• Pairs well with linen, silk, or alpaca for multi-season garments
• Use as a carry-along strand in luxury marled projects

💡 Helpful Notes:
• This yarn is spun to a 3/20 Nm count, giving you approximately 667m per 100g. It has more body than ultra-fine laceweight and is easier to handle as a single strand.
• Cashmere naturally regulates temperature—keeping you warm without overheating.
• Swatch and block before starting your project—the fabric transforms beautifully after washing.

📏 Recommended Yarn Usage:
These are approximate values for knitting held double (333m/100g):
• Sweater (Size S–M): 300–350g (999–1166 meters | 1093–1275 yards)
• Sweater (Size L–XL): 400–500g (1332–1665 meters | 1458–1820 yards)
• Shawl/Wrap: 150–200g (499–666 meters | 546–729 yards)
• Baby Set: 150–200g (499–666 meters | 546–729 yards)

🫧 Care Instructions:
• Hand wash gently in cold water with mild detergent
• Do not wring or twist
• Lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight
📌 Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those containing cashmere, may include protective wax used for industrial machine knitting. A few gentle washes may be needed to fully release the fiber and allow the yarn to bloom into its softest and most beautiful form.
