Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only sell yarn wound on cones?

No. Most coned yarn is wound into balls by default unless otherwise noted in the listing. Many knitters prefer balls because they are ready to use and can be knitted from both ends at the same time.

What does “Balls or Cones” mean?

Yarn is wound into balls by default. If you prefer cones, please purchase them separately using the link provided in the product listing.

What does “Cones Only” mean?

The yarn is sold on cones, and the cones are included. No additional cone purchase is required.

How long does it take to prepare my order?

Please allow 3–5 business days for preparation before shipment. Custom winding may require additional time. Orders are processed in the order received.

Why does order preparation take several days?

Many orders require weighing, winding, dividing quantities, checking the yarn and preparing each item individually before packing.

Can you divide my yarn between multiple balls or cones?

Yes. Leave your instructions at checkout or contact us before your order is prepared. If you need cones, please purchase the required number separately.

Can you wind yarn into multiple strands?

We do not generally combine multiple strands or create plied yarn.

Some very fine yarns have a two-strand winding option. When available, this option is clearly stated in the product listing. Otherwise, yarn is wound as a single strand.

When is my card charged?

Cards are charged when the order is prepared for shipment. Final charges may be adjusted based on the exact yarn weight.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes. Local pickup is available in Folsom, California, by appointment for prepared online orders. Select Local Pickup at checkout and wait for your Ready for Pickup notification before arranging your appointment.

See Folsom & Sacramento Pickup for details.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Customs duties, VAT, taxes and carrier fees may apply. International customers are responsible for claiming their shipments and following the carrier’s delivery instructions.

Please review our Shipping Policy for details.

What happens if I don’t claim my package?

Unclaimed or carrier-returned packages may be eligible for store credit after shipping costs and applicable carrier fees are deducted. Please review our Shipping Policy.

Can I return yarn?

Returns require approval and may be accepted within 14 days of receipt. Yarn must be unused, and the buyer is responsible for return shipping.

Please read our Returns & Refunds Policy before requesting a return.
