Refund policy

At iDOKNiT, every yarn is selected with exceptional care and presented with detailed descriptions, photographs, and videos to help you choose the perfect fiber for your project. Because our collection includes custom-wound yarns, limited batches, and specialty luxury fibers, we kindly ask that all order cancellations and returns follow the guidelines below.

Order Cancellations
Cancellation requests must be submitted within 2 hours of order placement. After this time, orders are considered final and cannot be cancelled, as processing may already be underway.
Please review your order carefully before completing your purchase.

Return Window
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. To begin a return, please contact us at hello@idoknit.com for approval and instructions. Items sent back without prior authorization cannot be accepted.

Shipping Costs
Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Condition of Returned Items
To be eligible, all items must be returned in their original condition: unwound, unused, free of odors, and in the original packaging with all labels intact.  If an item is received in a different condition, any loss in value will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Custom & Specialty Fibers
Many of our offerings are custom-wound to order, produced in limited quantities, or sourced from mills where consistency between lots may naturally vary. For this reason, certain items may be excluded from returns, which is standard practice among luxury and boutique yarn shops.

Return Exceptions
A return may be considered only in situations where an unexpected error occurred on our side — for example, receiving the wrong item, color, fiber, or weight, or if the item received is objectively different from the listing.
Because every listing includes detailed descriptions, photos, videos, and full specifications, returns cannot be approved for personal preference; misunderstanding of fiber characteristics (such as the difference between bourette silk and glossy mulberry silk); interpretations of texture, shine, twist, or color that differ from expectations; misunderstanding of listing photos; or confusion about weight selections (for example, purchasing a 50g option while expecting a full cone shown for reference).
Custom-wound, custom-prepared, and limited specialty items — including those in our Exclusive and Limited Edition Yarns sections — are final sale.
All approved returns must meet the condition standards above and be requested within the 14-day window. Every listing is prepared with extensive detail to help you make an informed, confident choice, and we truly appreciate customers who take a moment to read the information carefully. Carrier Issues (Lost, Misdelivered, or Damaged Packages)
Once a package is handed to the carrier, it is legally in the carrier’s custody. The buyer becomes the owner of the goods at the time of shipment, and the carrier is responsible for safe delivery. The seller is not automatically liable for delays, loss, misdelivery, or damage caused by the carrier.
All shipments from iDOKNiT are fully insured for your protection.
If a package is lost or misdelivered, I will submit a claim with USPS, UPS, DHL, or the insured carrier and assist with the process as needed. Once the carrier completes its investigation and confirms the outcome, I will proceed with the appropriate resolution for the order.
If a package arrives damaged, buyers should provide clear photos as soon as possible so I can file the insurance claim. I am always happy to help with documentation or any information needed to support your claim and ensure a smooth resolution.

How to Begin a Return
Please submit your return request through the return link included in your order confirmation. You may also contact us at hello@idoknit.com with your order number and item details. The return address is listed on your original package on our Contact Information page and can be provided again upon request.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item. We will work with you to evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
• Sale items
• Gift cards
• Custom-wound or specialty items from the Exclusive and Limited Edition Yarns sections

No exchanges are offered at this time. 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know whether it has been approved. If approved, reimbursement will be issued as store credit only within 5 business days. No refunds will be issued to the original payment method. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at hello@idoknit.com.
