CATENA RIBE is an exceptionally soft and lightweight Italian yarn manufactured by Di.Ve in Italy, created from a refined blend of superfine alpaca and polyamide in a beautiful chainette construction. This airy structure gives the yarn a puffy, light appearance and a wonderfully soft hand, resulting in knitwear that feels warm, elegant, and almost weightless.

Because this yarn is made in a chainette / catenella structure, it has more volume and softness than a standard spun yarn of the same weight. The strand looks very puffy and very light, which makes CATENA RIBE especially attractive for sweaters, cardigans, scarves, hats, and other knitwear where warmth, softness, and a cloud-like look matter. Di.Vè’s official description emphasizes exactly this exceptional softness and lightness.

⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
CATENA RIBE offers the rare balance of softness, lightness, and volume. The superfine alpaca brings warmth, softness, and a luxurious airy hand, while the polyamide helps support the structure and durability of the yarn. The chainette construction makes the strand feel fuller and lighter than a classic spun yarn, which gives finished pieces a soft, lofty, and elegant character. This matches Di.Vè’s own public description of the yarn as a superfine alpaca chainette of exceptional softness and lightness.

⌁ Texture & Feel

• Soft halo and elegant volume
• Comfortable and cozy in fabric

✧ Fiber Profile — Superfine Alpaca Chainette
This blend combines the softness of superfine alpaca with the practical support of polyamide.

Superfine alpaca adds:
• Softness
• Warmth
• Light luxury
• A gentle airy halo

Polyamide adds:
• Support and resilience
• Better durability
• Stability in the chainette structure

Together, they create a yarn that feels soft, puffy, and elegant while remaining practical enough for everyday knitwear. Public Di.Vè information places this yarn in its alpaca category and lists it as a chainette/catenella article with this exact fiber blend.
