✨ Texture & Feel:
As a Non-Combed cashmere, this yarn possesses a unique, slightly crisp handle that promises incredible bloom and softness after the first wash. The result is a cloud-soft, highly insulating, and lightweight fabric characteristic of high-quality Loro Piana cashmere.
🧶 A Note from the Knitter
This is genuine Loro Piana luxury. Because it is non-combed, it is essential to wash your finished garment to fully realize the fiber’s true softness, loft, and warmth. This makes it an ideal choice for durable yet luxurious lightweight sweaters, shawls, and garments you want to cherish for years.
🧶 Recommended Use:
Ideal for items where supreme softness, lightweight warmth, and heirloom quality are desired.
• Garments: Fine-gauge sweaters, luxury tunics, and baby clothing.
• Accessories: Delicate shawls, scarves, and soft cowls.
• Versatility: Can be knit on its own or held together with a fine silk/mohair for added texture.
🧶 Knitting with Multiple Strands
• 2 Threads: Creates a Sport/Light DK weight yarn with an approximate yardage of 275m(301yd) per 100g.
🧶Recommendations for Weaving:
This 100% Cashmere is an exceptional choice for the weft in luxurious scarves, throws, and soft goods. Its lightness and ability to full after washing will create an incredibly warm and cozy fabric. It can also be used as a low-tension warp when paired with a strong cotton or silk thread.
🧶 Recommended Needles & Hooks (Based on Single-Thread Knitting):
• For knitting with one thread (creating a Light Fingering weight), we recommend 2.5–3.5 mm (US 1.5–4) needles. The general gauge is 24–28 stitches per 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch. Use the smaller end of the range (2.5mm) for a denser, more structured fabric, and the larger end (3.5mm) for a softer, loftier drape.
• For crochet, use hooks in the range of 2.5–3.5 mm (C-2 to E-4).
📏 Estimated Usage:
• Fine Shawl (Single Strand): 100–150g
• Sweater (Single Strand): 300–450g
📍Care Instructions:
• Gentle hand wash with cold water using a specialized cashmere detergent.
• Lay flat to dry; do not twist or hang.
• Full softness is achieved upon washing.

⚑ FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.
⚑ FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.
PLEACE BUY CONES HERE
Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.
Please Note
Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
