📏 Gauge & Behavior Notes:
Lightweight and non-elastic with a classic tweed feel. Soft to the touch, with just the right amount of texture from the delicate color flecks. It is ideal for layering pieces or vintage-inspired lace projects.
Recommended gauge: 32–36 sts = 10 cm / 4" using 2.0–2.75 mm (US 0–2) needles (in one thread).

🧣 Working with Multiple Strands:
Use a single strand for delicate lacework and lightweight accessories.
Hold two or three strands together to achieve fingering or sport weight thickness — beautiful for sweaters, shawls, and layering pieces.
Blends wonderfully with silk, mohair, or alpaca for custom textures.

💡 Project Ideas:
• Lace shawls and wraps
• Lightweight sweaters and vests
• Delicate baby knits
• Vintage-style layering tops

🧵 Helpful Tips for Knitters:
• Tweed flecks appear subtle in lace but more defined in stockinette or garter stitch
• Yarn softens and opens beautifully after wet blocking
• Substitute for Shetland or Rowan Fine Tweed Lace in vintage-style patterns
• Works well in patterns like Featherweight Cardigan (held double), Ishbel Shawl, or Lightweight Hipster
• Sharp lace needles (like ChiaoGoo or Addi Lace) help manage the fine tweedy texture

🧶 Weaving Suitability:
Can be used as weft yarn in handweaving, especially for delicate or fine cloth. It is not recommended for warp use unless reinforced or combined with a stronger thread. Adds a classic tweedy finish and soft texture to woven fabrics.

🧪 Blending Possibilities:
Pair with laceweight silk for sheen, mohair for halo, or alpaca for extra softness and drape. Can also be held double with contrasting tweeds or solids for a marled look.

🧷 Care Instructions:
• Hand wash gently in cold water with mild detergent• Do not wring or twist• Lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight.📌 Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those containing wool, may include protective wax used for industrial machine knitting. A few gentle washes may be needed to fully release the fiber and allow the yarn to bloom into its softest and most beautiful form.
