This is an extra-fine industrial merino yarn originally spun for the iconic fashion house MISSONI. It has an extremely high yardage of 3000 meters per 100 grams (3280 yards per 3.52 oz) and is designed for multi-strand knitting only.
For your convenience, this yarn will be wound into two parallel strands on each ball or cone. For hand knitting, you will hold multiple double-stranded balls together to reach the recommended number of working strands.

✧ Texture & Feel
A very fine, smooth, and elastic merino with a soft hand and clean stitch definition. Despite its ultra-fine count, the yarn feels gentle and breathable next to the skin. When used in 4–10 strands, it creates a refined, lightweight fabric with beautiful drape and a high-fashion look. After washing, the fabric softens further and develops a subtle bloom without losing structure.
➤ Recommended Uses
• Fine-gauge sweaters and cardigans (multi-strand)
• Lightweight tops and turtlenecks
• Elegant shawls and wraps
• Refined layering pieces
• High-end basics and next-to-skin garments
✦ Blending Recommendations
• Silk — adds sheen and fluid drape
• Cashmere — increases softness and luxury
• Mohair/Silk — brings halo and light loft
• Extra Fine Merino — adds body and resilience
Use this merino in 4–10 strands by itself, or combine it with a fine silk or mohair for extra dimension.
⋔ Recommended Needles & Hooks
This yarn is not suitable for single-strand or 2–3 strand hand knitting — the fabric will be far too thin and unstable.
For hand knitting, it should be used starting from 4 strands and more:
4 strands — very light fabric (approx. 750m/100g) → 2.5–3.0 mm
6 strands — light, airy fabric (approx. 500m/100g) → 3.0–3.5 mm
8 strands — sweater/cardigan weight (approx. 375m/100g) → 3.25–3.75 mm
10 strands — denser, warmer fabric (approx. 300m/100g) → 3.5–4.0 mm
A typical cardigan will usually require about 8–10 strands held together.
Crochet hooks: 2.5–4.0 mm, depending on strand count and desired density.
⫯ Estimated Yarn Usage
(assuming 8–10 working strands)
• Shawl or Wrap: 80–140 g
• Scarf or Cowl: 60–100 g
• Sweater (XS–S): 180–240 g
• Sweater (M–L): 220–280 g
• Cardigan (L–XL): 260–340 g
⚑ Weaving Recommendations
Suitable as a fine, elastic weft yarn used in multiple strands.
4–6 strands — soft, drapey cloth
8–10 strands — warmer, more substantial fabric
Suggested Sett: 10–16 EPI depending on structure and strand count.
✦ Care Instructions
• Hand wash gently in cold water
• Do not wring or twist
• Reshape and lay flat to dry away from heat

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)
⚑ FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.
⚑ FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.
PLEACE BUY CONES HERE
Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.
Please Note
Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
