CINCICASH by Exclusive Italian Mill is an exceptionally refined luxury yarn created from 20% Sable and 80% Cashmere. With its 2/11 construction and approximately 550 meters / 640 yards per 100 g, this yarn offers a beautiful balance of softness, warmth, elegance, and practical usability. Unlike ultra-fine cashmere lace bases that usually need many strands for comfortable hand knitting, this fuller count gives you a much more versatile luxury yarn for real garments and accessories.

This is the kind of yarn that feels rare and elevated from the first touch. The high cashmere content gives it deep softness and light warmth, while the sable adds even more richness and a more distinctive luxury hand. The result is a yarn that feels airy yet substantial, delicate yet practical enough for hand knitting in one strand for lighter pieces or two strands for fuller, warmer knitwear.

⋔ Swatch Notes
I knitted my sample in one strand using US size 4 needles, and I was genuinely, very pleasantly impressed by how dramatically the fabric changed while I was washing it and after washing. The swatch changed almost before my eyes: the yarn bloomed heavily, developed a beautiful halo, and the strand appeared to increase almost two times in volume as it opened up. It became much fluffier even while still wet.

That means this yarn can absolutely be knitted in one strand if you want a light, warm, almost weightless, airy fabric with a very noticeable soft halo. If you prefer a warmer or more winter-ready result, it also works beautifully in two strands.

One important note: this yarn does not hold ribbing well. It is much better suited to soft, airy fabrics than to structured ribbed edges. It is also an excellent yarn to use as a carry-along with almost anything, because it immediately elevates the finished fabric with a beautiful bloom, a silky-soft touch, and a completely non-prickly feel. The hand is incredibly pleasant, and the final effect is truly luxurious.

In my experience, the melange shade 2228 feels noticeably fuller and puffier than the solid grey shade 2229, even though both are technically the same yarn by weight. This may be due to the different color treatment, although that is simply my personal impression.

⌁ Texture & Feel
• Exceptionally soft and luxurious
• Feather-light yet warming
• Rich, refined hand feel
• More depth and richness than standard cashmere alone
• Smooth, elegant, and comforting against the skin
• Beautifully soft after washing

⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
CINCICASH stands out because it combines extraordinary softness with a more practical luxury count. The 2/11 construction makes it much easier to use for real hand-knitting projects than ultra-fine lace cashmere bases, while still preserving the elegance and lightness expected from a luxury yarn.

This blend is especially appealing for makers who want true luxury for garments they will actually wear. It works beautifully for lightweight sweaters, cardigans, scarves, shawls, hats, and soft accessories where the fiber itself should remain the focus. The finished fabric feels quietly opulent rather than flashy — soft, warm, and deeply refined.

✧ Luxury Fiber Profile — Sable & Cashmere
This yarn combines two exceptionally luxurious fibers.

Cashmere adds:
• Deep softness
• Gentle warmth
• Lightness and comfort
• Elegant wearability

Sable adds:
• Extra richness
• A more distinctive luxury hand
• Greater depth in the finished fabric

Together, they create a yarn that feels rare, comforting, and beautifully elevated.

➤ IMPORTANT — Yarn Usage
• Single-strand hand knitting: suitable for light, airy, fluffy fabrics
• 2 strands: excellent for warmer and more winter-ready garments
• Not a strong choice for ribbing or areas that require sharp elasticity
• Beautiful for sweaters, cardigans, scarves, shawls, hats, and luxury accessories
• Excellent as a carry-along yarn with other fibers
• Suitable for crochet and refined textile work
• A very strong choice for garments worn close to the skin

⋔ Recommended Yarn Usage
• Hat or beanie: approx. 100 g
• Shawl or wrap: approx. 150–250 g
• Scarf or cowl: approx. 120–220 g
• Lightweight sweater (S–M): approx. 250–350 g
• Sweater (L–XL): approx. 350–500 g
• Long cardigan: approx. 450–650 g

➤ Recommended Pairings From iDOKNiT
CINCICASH is extraordinary on its own, but it can also pair beautifully with other luxury fibers to create even more distinctive fabrics.

Fine Silk Yarns
Add drape and elegance while preserving refinement.

Mohair on Silk
Adds halo and atmosphere for airy sweaters, wraps, and shawls.

Fine Merino
Adds a little more structure while preserving softness and comfort.

Cashmere Companions
Create an even more cocooning, deeply luxurious fabric.

These pairings make CINCICASH especially appealing for makers who enjoy building fabrics with softness, warmth, and quiet luxury.

✦ Recommended Needles / Hooks
• Single strand: start around US 4 / 3.5 mm for an airy light fabric
• Two strands: start around 4.5–5.0 mm
• Swatching is essential, especially because this yarn blooms dramatically during washing and after washing

⫯ Weaving Suitability
• Suitable for soft, lightweight luxury weaving projects
• Beautiful for scarves, wraps, and refined apparel fabrics
• Best for textiles where softness and elegance are the priority

⟳ Care Instructions
• Hand wash cold with gentle cashmere or wool detergent
• Do not wring or twist
• Lay flat to dry and reshape while damp
• Store folded rather than hanging
• Wash swatch before final sizing calculations

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

Shipping & Order Processing

Orders are prepared in the order received and typically ship within 3–5 business days. Custom requests such as cone winding may require additional time. Multiple orders placed before shipment may be combined. Shipping refunds are not issued for combined orders.

We ship worldwide with tracking provided. As customs policies and tariffs can change frequently, any duties, taxes, or import fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. These charges are not collected by us at the time of purchase but are typically paid to your local postal service or customs office upon the arrival of your package.
