PRESTIGE is an exceptionally fine Italian brushed mohair yarn created for luxury knitwear and fashion production. Made from 50% Babykid Mohair, 14% Merino Wool, and 36% Polyamide, this yarn delivers the softness, halo, and airy elegance that make premium mohair blends so desirable. At approximately 2100 meters per 100 grams, PRESTIGE is an ultra-fine lace yarn designed to add softness, warmth, volume, and a sophisticated halo without adding significant weight.

What makes PRESTIGE especially interesting is its versatility. Used as a companion yarn, it instantly transforms merino, cashmere, silk, alpaca, linen, and cotton yarns, adding softness and a beautiful brushed finish. The high Babykid Mohair content creates a refined halo, while the Merino improves comfort and elasticity. The result is the type of fabric often associated with luxury Italian designer knitwear.

⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
PRESTIGE is not a traditional hand-knitting yarn intended to be worked in a single strand. At 2100m per 100g, it is an ultra-fine luxury mill yarn designed to be used as a companion yarn or in multiple strands.

A single strand adds softness, halo, warmth, and visual depth to another yarn without significantly changing gauge or fabric weight. This makes PRESTIGE one of the easiest ways to elevate a project and achieve the soft-focus appearance commonly seen in luxury designer knitwear.

The combination of Babykid Mohair and Merino creates a more refined halo than many standard mohair yarns, while the polyamide core provides stability and durability.

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

Shipping & Order Processing

Orders are prepared in the order received and typically ship within 3–5 business days. Custom requests such as cone winding may require additional time. Multiple orders placed before shipment may be combined. Shipping refunds are not issued for combined orders.

We ship worldwide with tracking provided. As customs policies and tariffs can change frequently, any duties, taxes, or import fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. These charges are not collected by us at the time of purchase but are typically paid to your local postal service or customs office upon the arrival of your package.
