Cashmere Yarn by Exclusive Italian Mill COARSEHAIR 2/11 is a luxury Italian lace-to-light fingering yarn made from 100% pure cashmere, with approximately 550 meters per 100 g. This is a rare and highly practical cashmere count — soft, airy, and refined, yet substantial enough to be used in a single strand for real garments, not just delicate layering.
Unlike ultra-fine cashmere that requires many strands, this yarn allows you to create elegant, wearable pieces even in one strand, while still offering the flexibility to build warmth and structure with two strands. It is an exceptional choice for knitters who want true luxury with real usability.

⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
COARSEHAIR 2/11 is one of the most wearable luxury cashmere yarns you can find. The 2/11 construction gives it enough body to be used comfortably in a single strand, which is rare for high-end cashmere cone yarns.
It creates fabrics that feel refined, soft, luxurious, and wearable at the same time. This balance between elegance and practicality is exactly why yarns like this are used in high-end Italian designer knitwear.
The fabric feels light yet warm, soft yet breathable, refined yet effortless. It is quiet luxury — understated, elegant, and timeless.
Compared with ultra-fine lace cashmere yarns, this count is dramatically easier and more practical for hand knitting while still preserving the softness and elevated feel expected from luxury Italian cashmere.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE
Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.
Please Note
Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
