DAKOTA is a refined Italian 100% cotton yarn created by PRISMA RICERCHE and IAFIL SPA for makers who want soft cotton, beautiful stitch definition, breathable comfort, and clean professional-looking fabric. This yarn is not a cable yarn. Based on the photos, DAKOTA appears to be a fine, smooth, tightly twisted cotton yarn with a clean multi-ply structure. It has a polished surface, good stability, and very nice softness for cotton — approximately 9 out of 10. The result is a cotton yarn that feels comfortable and practical while still giving your projects a refined Italian finish.

However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
