KATIA by FILCOM is a refined Italian luxury lace yarn that combines the softness of angora with the breathability of cotton and the elegant drape of viscose in an ultra-lightweight fashion blend designed for delicate, sophisticated garments. With approximately 750 meters per 100 g, this yarn creates airy fabric with a soft halo, beautiful movement, and an elegant “quiet luxury” appearance that feels incredibly soft against the skin.

The gentle angora bloom gives fabric warmth and softness without heaviness, while cotton keeps the yarn breathable and wearable across multiple seasons. Viscose adds elegant fluid drape and softness, and polyamide stabilizes the structure, making the yarn more practical and durable for everyday luxury garments.

This is the type of yarn that transforms simple stitches into elegant European-style knitwear — soft, feminine, lightweight, and effortlessly refined.

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
