Cashmere Merino Yarn by Exclusive Italian Mill GRANITE is a rare luxury Italian lace weight yarn made from 50% Cashmere and 50% Merino Wool, with approximately 900 meters per 100 g. This refined Italian yarn combines the buttery softness and warmth of cashmere with the elasticity, structure, and practicality of fine merino wool, creating elegant fabric with beautiful drape, softness, and everyday wearability.

GRANITE feels featherlight in the hand while still creating warm, sophisticated fabric that remains breathable and comfortable. The result is a yarn that feels delicate, airy, and deeply luxurious while still being practical enough for real garments and accessories.

⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
GRANITE is one of those rare yarns that immediately feels luxurious the moment you touch it. The 50/50 cashmere-merino composition creates an especially beautiful balance between softness and practicality.

Cashmere brings exceptional softness, warmth, elegance, and a cocoon-like hand feel, while merino wool adds elasticity, resilience, structure, and better long-term wearability. Together they create fabric that feels refined, lightweight, elegant, and wearable rather than fragile.

Unlike extremely fine industrial lace yarns that require many strands, GRANITE is much more approachable and practical for hand knitting while still preserving a refined luxury feel.

This yarn is especially beautiful for heirloom-quality shawls, lightweight sweaters, scarves, layering garments, baby knits, and elevated accessories where softness, drape, and comfort truly matter.

✧ Fiber Profile
• Cashmere: luxurious softness, warmth, and elegant drape
• Merino Wool: elasticity, structure, comfort, and resilience
• Blend: lightweight luxury with better practicality and durability than pure cashmere alone

➤ IMPORTANT — Yarn Usage
GRANITE is fine enough for delicate lightweight fabrics while still being practical enough for wearable garments.

• Double strand — fuller sweaters, cardigans, hats, scarves, and more practical everyday garments

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
