📌 “PIMA 12” is spun from Pima cotton using a 3/50 construction—three fine strands twisted together. Pima cotton is known for its extra-long staple fibers, producing a yarn that is exceptionally soft, smooth, and resistant to pilling.

✨ Texture & Feel:
• Ultra-soft with a smooth matte finish
• Strong, breathable, and lightweight
• Elegant drape with minimal fuzz or shedding

🧶 Recommended Uses:
• Warm-weather tops, babywear, lace shawls, and layering garments
• Fine weaving and high-end machine knitting
• Perfect for multi-strand blending or marled effects

💡 Tips & Recommendations:
• Due to its extreme fineness, this yarn is not recommended for single- or double-strand use in hand knitting or crochet
• Best results achieved by holding 3 or more strands together
• Can be blended with mohair, silk, or wool for added structure or texture
• Ideal for lace details, trims, and lightweight fabrics
• Performs beautifully in fine-gauge machines and for weaving

🧷 Recommended Needles/Hooks:
• When holding 3–4 strands together:
 – Knitting Needles: US 2–5 (2.75–3.75 mm)
 – Crochet Hooks: US C/2 to E/4 (2.75–3.5 mm)

🧵 Weaving Suitability:
• Excellent for both warp and weft
• Smooth, high-twist cotton ideal for fine looms and structured fabric

📏 Recommended Yarn Usage (3 strands held together):
• Short-Sleeve Top: 200–300g (5000–7500 m / 5466–8200 yd)
• Long-Sleeve Sweater: 350–450g (8750–11250 m / 9566–12310 yd)
• Baby Set: 150g (3750 m / 4100 yd)
• Shawl: 100–150g (2500–3750 m / 2730–4100 yd)

🫧 Care Instructions:
• Hand wash gently in cold water with mild detergent
• Do not wring or twist
• Lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight
• Iron on low if needed
📌 Please keep in mind: this untreated organic cotton softens with washing and blooms into its natural texture over time.

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEACE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
