PRESTIGE is a high-quality 100% cashmere lace yarn created specifically for European luxury fashion houses and sourced through the Italian yarn stock market from established Italian suppliers. With approximately 1300 meters per 100 g, this extra-fine cashmere offers the rare opportunity to work with true fashion-industry quality cashmere at an unusually accessible price.
Yes — this yarn is manufactured in China, which is one of the world’s primary sources of premium cashmere fiber. Most luxury cashmere used by Italian mills and European fashion houses originates from goats raised in China and Mongolia. The final quality depends not only on the origin of the fiber, but also on fiber selection, sorting, spinning technology, processing, and finishing standards.
What impressed me personally about this yarn was the actual knitting experience. I knitted a sample using US size 4 needles, and the yarn was surprisingly easy and pleasant to work with. After the very first wash, the fabric opened beautifully, developed a soft elegant halo, and even the small uneven areas and tiny knots relaxed into a much more refined and cohesive fabric. The final result feels soft, lightweight, elevated, and truly luxurious.
This is exactly the type of yarn that makes you understand why luxury fashion houses continue sourcing premium cashmere from this region of the world.

• true fashion-house quality cashmere
• accessible pricing compared to branded Italian cashmere

This yarn performs much closer to luxury Italian cashmere than many knitters expect from “Chinese cashmere,” especially after wet finishing.

⚑ FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.
⚑ FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.
PLEASE BUY CONES HERE
Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.
Please Note
Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
