LUCKY STAR, a shimmering Italian-made yarn from RiGo, is a truly unique blend of 75% Viscose/Rayon, 20% Metallic, and 5% Nylon (LUREX). This lace-soft yarn offers an elegant drape and a stunning, subtle sparkle. It's perfect for carrying along with other yarns to add a touch of glitter to your projects or for creating ethereal, lightweight garments.

IMPORTANT: This yarn is available on cones only. It will be wound onto a single cone, without splitting or layering. If you order multiple quantities of the same color, all yarn will be wound onto a single cone as requested

Texture & Feel:
This yarn has a soft, flowing feel with a delicate shine. The Viscose/Rayon blend provides a silky texture and beautiful drape, while the Lurex adds a touch of subtle sparkle without being scratchy.

Recommended Uses:
• As a "carry-along" yarn to add a shimmering effect to any project
• Fine, lightweight shawls
• Elegant scarves or stoles
• Lace garments
• Woven pieces for subtle sparkle
• Creating Chanel-style or "shishibriki" tweed fabrics by holding the yarn together with a base yarn.

Recommended Needles & Hooks:
• Knitting: US 000–1 (1.5–2.25 mm)
• Can be worked with 3-4 strands for a thicker fabric.

Recommended Pairings:
This yarn is highly recommended for use as a "carry-along" thread to add a unique, sparkling touch. It pairs beautifully with other natural fibers such as:
• Merino or Wool: To add warmth, elasticity, and structure.
• Mohair or Alpaca: For a soft, plush halo effect with added glitter.
• Cashmere or Silk: To create a luxuriously soft fabric with enhanced shimmer.

  Recommendations for Weaving:
LUCKY STAR works wonderfully as a weft yarn to introduce pops of sparkle and texture. Use it as an accent thread or to create decorative highlights in woven pieces. It is ideal for elegant scarves, decorative wall hangings, or unique table runners.

⋔ Estimated Usage:
• Long-sleeve sweater (M): 150–250g
• Shawl: 100–200g
• Scarf: 50–100g
• Hat: 20–50g

Care Instructions:
• Hand wash gently in cold water with mild detergent
• Do not wring or twist
• Lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEACE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

Shipping & Order Processing

Orders are prepared in the order received and typically ship within 3–5 business days. Custom requests such as cone winding may require additional time. Multiple orders placed before shipment may be combined. Shipping refunds are not issued for combined orders.

We ship worldwide with tracking provided. As customs policies and tariffs can change frequently, any duties, taxes, or import fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. These charges are not collected by us at the time of purchase but are typically paid to your local postal service or customs office upon the arrival of your package.
