PIGALLE is a refined Italian tweed yarn manufactured by RiGo in Italy, created for makers who love elegant texture, breathable fabric, and softly blended color. This sophisticated tweed combines virgin wool, silk, viscose, polyester, and other fibers to create a yarn with beautiful visual character and a balanced hand that feels both soft and expressive.
The virgin wool adds comfort, light warmth, and structure, silk contributes a subtle natural glow, and viscose brings fluidity and softness. The polyester and other fibers help support the tweed texture and stability of the yarn, giving the finished fabric a distinctive surface and a very wearable feel. The result is a lightweight Italian tweed with personality — especially beautiful for airy garments, elegant accessories, and textured knitwear with character.
What makes PIGALLE especially attractive is its refined and unusual color combination. The blend of cocoa, sky blue, and off-white gives the yarn depth and softness without feeling loud, making it an excellent choice for timeless pieces with a quietly luxurious look.

⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
PIGALLE is an elegant Italian tweed with real character. It is not flat or boring in fabric — the tweed structure creates natural visual depth, so even simple stitches look more interesting and refined. The balance of softness, breathability, and texture makes it especially appealing for makers who want yarn that feels special without being heavy or overly rustic.
Its cocoa, sky blue, and off-white mix gives the yarn a soft, artistic look that feels both classic and modern. This is the kind of tweed that can stand on its own and still look sophisticated.

✦ My Knitted Sample / Swatch
I knitted my sample using 2 strands on US size 4 needles, and I already washed it once.
My impression after knitting and washing:
• Very light and breathable fabric
• Soft and pleasant to the touch
• Beautiful color combination
• Interesting tweed with great character
• In 2 strands, it creates a lovely fabric for light summer projects
Based on my sample, I would say:
• 2 strands — great for light summer projects
• 1 strand — suitable for machine knitting or crochet
• 3 strands or combined with another yarn — better for warmer knitwear
The cocoa, sky blue, and off-white color combination looks especially beautiful in fabric and gives the yarn a very elegant tweed effect.

✦ Best Pairing Yarns
PIGALLE works beautifully on its own, but it can also be paired with other yarns to create more warmth, softness, halo, or texture.
Popular combinations include:
• Mohair on silk — adds halo and airy softness
• Cashmere — creates a richer and softer luxury fabric
• Fine merino — adds body and warmth
• Silk bases — enhance drape and elegance
• Linen — adds freshness and a drier summer texture

⚑ FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.
⚑ FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.
PLEASE BUY CONES HERE
Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.
Please Note
Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
