JASMINE by RiGo is an exceptionally fine Italian extrafine merino yarn, spun to a precise lace count with a smooth, clean hand and refined stitch definition. Light, elegant, and beautifully balanced, this yarn is designed as a true building yarn — meant to be held in multiple strands so you can control thickness, density, and drape with precision.

With its even spin and stable structure, JASMINE produces a polished fabric that responds beautifully to washing and blocking, making it ideal for elevated garments and timeless knitwear with a clean, sophisticated finish.

Why This Yarn Is Special
• Ultra-fine extrafine merino with a precise, even spin
• Clean stitch definition despite its delicate gauge
• Designed to be held in multiple strands to build custom thickness
• Creates elegant, lightweight fabrics with controlled drape
• Ideal foundation yarn for refined, minimalist knitwear

Texture & Feel
• Smooth, refined hand on the ball or cone
• Light, precise structure with a clean surface
• Softens and relaxes after washing and blocking while remaining stable

Recommended Strand Pairing (Important)
• Single strand is NOT recommended (extra-fine yarn)
• 2 strands: ~750 m / 100 g (true lace; very delicate)
• 3 strands: ~500 m / 100 g (fine, airy fabric)
• 4 strands: ~375 m / 100 g (lightweight)
• 5 strands: ~300 m / 100 g (comfortable starting point for garments)
• 6 strands: ~250 m / 100 g (sport to light DK feel, depending on needles and tension)
• Swatching is strongly recommended

Recommended Uses
• Sweaters, cardigans, vests, and tops (held 4–6 strands)
• Scarves, shawls, and wraps (held 3–5 strands depending on openness)
• Hats and refined accessories
• Excellent as a base yarn or companion strand to add merino softness to blends

Recommended Needles (Guideline)
• 4 strands: approx. 3.0–4.0 mm
• 5 strands: approx. 3.5–4.5 mm
• 6 strands: approx. 4.0–5.0 mm
• Always swatch — finishing will affect final hand and gauge

Yarn Usage (Approximate)
• Hat: 80–150 g (held 4–6 strands)
• Scarf: 150–280 g (held 4–6 strands)
• Sweater: 300–650 g (held 4–6 strands; depends on size and gauge)

Weaving Suitability
• Suitable for weaving with proper tension control
• For a stable cloth, use multiple ends together (similar to holding strands for knitting)
• Sampling and wet finishing are essential to reveal final softness and structure

Care Instructions
• Hand wash cold with gentle wool detergent
• Do not wring
• Lay flat to dry
• Block gently to reveal softness and refine the fabric

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEACE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

Shipping & Order Processing

Orders are prepared in the order received and typically ship within 3–5 business days. Custom requests such as cone winding may require additional time. Multiple orders placed before shipment may be combined. Shipping refunds are not issued for combined orders.

We ship worldwide with tracking provided. As customs policies and tariffs can change frequently, any duties, taxes, or import fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. These charges are not collected by us at the time of purchase but are typically paid to your local postal service or customs office upon the arrival of your package.
