Imagine an elegant runway knit that feels impossibly cool against your skin and catches the evening light with a sophisticated, couture-inspired shimmer. Crafted in Italy from 100% premium flax linen, G&G FILATI LINO 6500 features delicate 2-3 mm paillettes seamlessly integrated into the strand. If you know linen, you know its secret: it begins with a beautifully crisp structure and becomes softer, more fluid, and more luxurious with every wash.
With an impressive 650 meters (711 yards) per 100g, this lace-weight yarn is perfect for airy summer tops, lightweight cardigans, elegant lace shawls, and refined accessories. Knit it alone for a breathable, light-catching fabric, or hold it together with mohair, silk, cashmere, or fine merino to add subtle shimmer, extra softness, and beautiful dimension. In many cases, just two 100g balls are enough to knit a standard lightweight summer top.
Imported directly from Italy, this premium linen yarn brings exceptional quality, beautiful stitch definition, and timeless elegance to every project.

The Color Palette Guide
Color 2422 — Lilac Rose
A refined dusty rose with soft lilac undertones, creating a graceful vintage-inspired color that's both feminine and sophisticated. Tiny champagne-gold paillettes catch the light with a subtle warm glow, adding quiet elegance without overwhelming the natural beauty of the linen.
Color 2423 — Peacock Teal
A rich, deep teal with beautiful blue undertones that subtly shift in different lighting, creating exceptional depth and dimension. Striking 3 mm ink-blue paillettes are woven throughout the yarn, blending beautifully with the base color while adding a sophisticated, tone-on-tone shimmer. They catch the light with a rich, jewel-like sparkle that enhances the fabric without overpowering its elegant appearance.
⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
Unlike many novelty sequin yarns that rely on cheap synthetic bases, LINO 6500 combines delicate micro-paillettes with 100% natural, high-grade Italian linen. The result is a luxurious yarn that delivers a refined sparkle inspired by luxury Italian knitwear while preserving the classic beauty, coolness, and unmatched summer drape of pure flax fiber. Its refined appearance makes it equally suitable for everyday luxury garments and special occasion evening wear.
➤ Yarn Usage & Profile
• Perfect for Holding Double - LINO 6500 is an exceptional companion yarn. Pair it with cashmere, merino, mohair, alpaca, cotton, or silk to add a subtle, elegant shimmer without adding heavy weight to your fabric.
• Ideal for Summer Knitting - Pure linen creates breathable, airy garments that feel cool, smooth, and highly comfortable directly against sensitive skin.
• Elegant Day-to-Evening Sparkle - The tiny paillettes catch both natural daylight and evening lighting, adding subtle sophistication without overpowering your pattern layout.
• Recommended Projects - Summer tops, lightweight sweaters, fine openwork cardigans, festive camisoles, lace shawls, elegant wraps, and couture-quality accessories.
➤ How to Work with This Artisan Beauty
LINO 6500 glides smoothly across needles and hooks, while the integrated paillettes pass through your tensioning fingers without catching, making it surprisingly enjoyable to knit.
Knit It Alone - Creates lightweight, sheer, and beautifully structural fabrics with exceptional drape and a refined sparkle.
Hold It Together - Pair it with Kid Mohair, Silk, Fine Cotton, or Fine Merino to introduce a contrasting luxury texture while keeping an elegant shimmer.
After Washing - A gentle hand wash is essential. It completely relaxes the linen fibers, allowing the stitches to settle naturally, enhancing the beautiful drape and softening the fabric texture beautifully over time.
➤ My Knitting Experience & Swatch Notes
I knitted a swatch using US size 4 (3.5 mm) needles, holding the yarn double. Honestly, it was a pleasure to work with. Linen is often known for being a little stiff and sometimes challenging to knit, but that wasn't my experience with this yarn at all. It glided smoothly on the needles and felt surprisingly comfortable to work with. The finished swatch has a beautiful structure that would be perfect for summer tops, lightweight sweaters, dresses, and many other warm-weather garments.
I also think this yarn would be wonderful worked single-stranded for delicate summer shawls, scarves, wraps, or as a companion yarn held together with other fibers to add subtle sparkle and elegant texture. After washing, the swatch remained true to linen—it kept its beautiful structure and didn't become overly soft overnight. That's exactly what I expect from quality linen. However, as I handled the swatch, gently squeezing and working it in my hands, I could already feel it becoming noticeably softer. Like all good linen, it will continue to soften beautifully with every wash and every wear. Overall, I was genuinely impressed. This is one of the most enjoyable linen yarns I've worked with, and I'm very happy with the finished fabric.

⫯ Weaving Suitability
An exceptional weaving yarn that adds crisp structure, stunning summer drape, and twinkling sequined accents as a gorgeous weft yarn in fine artisanal woven scarves, shawls, and premium apparel.
⟳ Care Instructions
Hand wash gently in cool water (30°C / 86°F) using a mild detergent suitable for delicate fibers. Do not wring or twist; press out excess moisture gently inside a clean towel. Lay flat to dry immediately away from direct sunlight or heat. Do not tumble dry. Light steaming from a distance will help settle the stitches, restore the linen's natural drape, and enhance its beautiful look around the sequins.

Please Note
Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
