The high percentage of Baby Suri Alpaca, combined with the gentle brushing process, results in an ultra-soft, cloud-like texture and a prominent, elegant halo. This yarn is a dream to work with, gliding smoothly while creating a soft, ethereal fabric. Because it is a brushed yarn, it naturally adds warmth and texture. It is highly recommended to use this yarn for projects that require that signature brushed halo and delicate drape.

This yarn is perfect for adding softness, warmth, and a dramatic halo effect to your projects.
• Single Strand (Lace Weight): Ideal for delicate shawls, scarves, or fine-gauge accessories.
• Held Double/Triple: Use two or three strands for a fast, fluffy sweater or cardigan that retains lightness.
• Held With Other Yarns: Combine with a smooth Merino or Silk blend to add an instant, soft texture and luxurious halo to any project.
• Stitch Patterns: Best for simple stitches like garter or stockinette to let the halo and texture speak for itself.

🧶 Knitting with Multiple Strands
This yarn works perfectly when held with multiple strands to achieve a heavier weight:
• 2 Threads: Creates a Fingering weight yarn with an approximate yardage of 475m(519yd) per 100g.
• 3 Threads: Creates a Sport weight yarn with an approximate yardage of 317m(346yd) per 100g.

🧶Recommendations for Weaving:
Due to its brushed nature and delicate halo, this yarn is ideal for the weft in projects like warm, ultra-soft scarves, throws, or garments. It will fill the fabric with warmth and a luxurious hand-feel. It is generally not recommended for warp due to the high halo/low twist.

🧶 Recommended Needles & Hooks (Based on 3-Ply Knitting - Creating Sport Weight):
• For knitting with three threads (creating a Sport weight), we recommend 2.5–3.5 mm (US 1.5–4) needles. The general gauge is 24–28 stitches per 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch. Use the smaller end of the range (2.5mm) for a denser, more structured fabric, and the larger end (3.5mm) for a softer, loftier drape.
• For crochet, use hooks in the range of 2.5–3.5 mm (C-2 to E-4).

However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.

FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
