ORGANIC PARK by Filati Be.Mi.Va, Italy is a refined Italian lace-weight yarn created from 70% Cotton and 30% Nylon. In this fine Nm 9 construction, the yarn offers remarkable lightness, airy volume, and a clean, rounded appearance. Its distinctive chain-like structure helps create fabric that feels breathable, modern, and comfortable, with a gentle elasticity that makes it especially appealing for soft summer garments and elegant layering pieces.

This yarn is especially attractive for makers who want something light and soft, but not flat or limp. The cotton gives the fabric natural comfort and breathability, while the nylon supports the structure and enhances the airy bulk that defines the Park line. The result is a yarn that feels clean, light, and easy to wear, with a modern polished finish.

⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
The Park line is described by the manufacturer as a cotton yarn built with bulked nylon for comfortable lightness and a round, clean aspect. In the fine Nm 9 version, that balance becomes especially attractive for delicate, breathable fabrics that still feel softly structured rather than flat.

This makes ORGANIC PARK a beautiful choice for makers who want elegant summer knitwear, airy tops, and layering pieces with softness, lightness, and a polished modern look. The yarn has enough structure to create shape, but still feels relaxed and wearable in finished garments.

➤ IMPORTANT — Yarn Usage
• Single-strand hand knitting: generally very fine for most practical standalone hand knitting
• Best for hand knitting in multiple strands depending on the desired fabric
• Excellent for light summer garments and breathable layering pieces
• A beautiful choice for tops, shells, cardigans, wraps, and refined accessories
• Especially appealing where lightness and soft volume matter

⋔ Recommended Yarn Usage
Actual usage depends on strand count, stitch pattern, and desired fabric.

• Summer top or shell: approx. 200–300 g
• Lightweight cardigan: approx. 250–400 g
• Shawl or wrap: approx. 150–250 g
• Scarf: approx. 100–180 g
• Lightweight sweater: approx. 300–450 g
• Longer layering piece: approx. 450–650 g

➤ Recommended Pairings From iDOKNiT
ORGANIC PARK is beautiful in multiple strands on its own, but it can also pair well with other yarns for makers who enjoy creating custom fabrics.

Fine Cotton
Keeps the fabric breathable and natural while adding softness.

Smooth Viscose or Silk Blends
Add more drape and a more fluid elegant finish.

Fine Merino
Adds softness and elasticity for transitional garments.

These pairings make ORGANIC PARK especially appealing for makers who want lightness, comfort, and a softly modern fabric character.

✦ Recommended Needles / Hooks
• Because this is a very fine yarn, the final needle or hook size depends on strand count and desired fabric
• Best approached as a light construction yarn rather than a standard single-strand hand-knitting yarn
• Swatching is essential to find the right balance of airiness, drape, and structure

⫯ Weaving Suitability
• Suitable for lightweight textile experimentation and refined fabric development
• Best where lightness and soft volume are desired
• More appropriate for delicate work than for dense utility fabrics

⟳ Care Instructions
• Wash delicately in 30°C / 86°F water with mild soap flakes, or dry clean
• Dry flat immediately after washing
• Do not expose wet garments to direct light
• Steam finishing helps develop the yarn’s “comfort” character
• Swatching and washing are strongly recommended

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
