TAHITI is an exceptionally fine Italian cotton-merino yarn produced by the renowned BOTTO GIUSEPPE spinning mill. Made from 50% Cotton and 50% Merino Wool, this luxurious lace-weight yarn combines the breathability and comfort of cotton with the softness, elasticity, and temperature-regulating properties of fine merino wool.
At approximately 2400 meters per 100 grams, TAHITI is an ultra-fine mill yarn designed for knitters, weavers, and makers who appreciate premium Italian fibers. It works beautifully as a companion yarn, adding softness, comfort, elasticity, and stability without adding halo or obscuring stitch patterns. Unlike mohair companion yarns, TAHITI allows lace, cables, textures, and colorwork to remain crisp and clearly visible.
Whether paired with linen, cotton, silk, merino, cashmere, or alpaca, TAHITI enhances the final fabric while preserving the character of the primary yarn. Its extraordinary meterage means even small quantities go a very long way.

⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
TAHITI combines two fibers that complement each other beautifully.
The cotton provides breathability, durability, and everyday comfort, while merino wool contributes softness, elasticity, and natural temperature regulation. The result is a balanced yarn that feels lighter than traditional wool while offering significantly more softness and flexibility than pure cotton.
Unlike brushed companion yarns, TAHITI enhances the fabric without covering stitch patterns. This makes it an excellent choice for knitters who want softness and comfort while maintaining beautiful stitch definition.
Its exceptionally fine count also makes it suitable for weaving, machine knitting, and multi-strand knitting projects.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE
Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.
Please Note
Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
