✨ Texture & Feel:
This yarn is exceptionally soft to the touch with a silky feel and a beautiful drape. It is a true lace weight that is incredibly lightweight and airy, making it ideal for creating delicate yet warm garments and accessories.
🧶 Recommended Uses:
• Intricate lace shawls and scarves
• Lightweight sweaters and cardigans
• Delicate baby garments and accessories
• As a "carry-along" yarn with a different fiber for added warmth and softness
• Using two or more strands held together for a Fingering or DK weight project
🧶 Recommendations for Use with Multiple Threads:
Given its extra-fine nature, this yarn is not recommended for knitting in 1–2 threads. For the best results and a more substantial fabric, it is recommended to use:
• Machine Knitting: 3–4 threads held together
• Hand Knitting: 5–6 threads held together
🧷 Knitter’s Note
The sample, knit on US Size 4 (3.5 mm) needles with five threads, transformed beautifully after washing. Although the knitting process felt slightly rough and the stitches appeared open and uneven, the cashmere bloomed beautifully post-wash. This created a soft, full, and fluffy fabric that successfully filled in all the visible gaps. I highly recommend using five threads as a starting point for creating incredibly cozy, warm, and comfortable sweaters and cardigans.
🧶 Recommendations for Weaving:
Due to its delicate nature, DOROTHY is not recommended as a warp yarn. However, it makes a luxurious and wonderfully soft weft yarn, perfect for adding a touch of Cashmere to lightweight scarves, shawls, or wraps.
🧶 Recommended Needles & Hooks:
• Knitting Needles (3–4 threads): 2.75–3.5 mm (US 2–4)
• Knitting Needles (5–6 threads): 3.75–4.5 mm (US 5–7)
• Crochet Hooks: 2.25–3.5 mm (B-1 to E-4)

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.
📍 Please Note
📍 Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
