This fine Italian cone yarn by Filartex S.p.A. is a high-quality 100% polyester yarn made in Italy, created for makers who want strength, lightness, and practicality in their projects. It is smooth, even, and refined, making it especially useful not only on its own, but also as a carry-along / reinforcing yarn when you want to improve durability without adding much weight.

From my experience, this yarn works beautifully as a support yarn when ou want to make knitted pieces more hard-wearing and longer-lasting. It is especially wonderful for socks when you are knitting with pure natural fibers and want to improve durability. It is also an excellent addition when you want to lighten the overall fabric while making the finished piece more resistant to wear.

➤ From My Experience
This is an excellent yarn to carry together with other yarns when you want to improve the quality and durability of your knitting.

It is especially beautiful for sock knitting when used together with pure yarns. If you are knitting socks from natural fibers and want them to last longer, adding this polyester yarn can make them much more durable and resistant to wear.

It is also a wonderful reinforcing yarn with Dundaga. Carried together with Dundaga, it helps improve the durability of the socks while keeping the project lighter and more practical for everyday wear.

The same idea applies to many other garments and accessories: when you want to add polyester specifically to make your knitted piece more hard-wearing and lighter in weight, this yarn works beautifully.

➤ Recommended Pairings From iDOKNiT
This yarn is especially useful when carried together with other yarns from iDOKNiT.

Dundaga

Adds strength and helps delicate or softer natural fibers last longer in everyday use.

Luxury Fibers

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

These charges are not collected by us at the time of purchase but are typically paid to your local postal service or customs office upon the arrival of your package.
