FILCOM PAMIR TWEED, Italy is an exceptional luxury Lace Weight yarn spun from an exquisite blend of 50% Yak and 50% Silk, beautifully enhanced with delicate multicolored tweed flecks. With approximately 700 meters / 765 yards per 100g, this remarkably fine Italian yarn combines extraordinary softness, exceptional warmth, elegant drape, and incredible lightness while creating fabrics with beautiful depth, texture, and timeless sophistication.

What makes PAMIR TWEED truly special is the combination of three luxurious elements working together. The exceptionally soft Yak provides remarkable warmth and a delicate natural halo, Silk contributes graceful drape and refined elegance, while the colorful tweed flecks create subtle visual texture and dimension throughout the fabric. The naturally dark Yak fibers also give every color a beautiful warm undertone, creating softly muted shades with remarkable depth rather than flat, uniform colors.

Despite its fine Lace Weight meterage, PAMIR TWEED creates fabrics that feel warm without bulk, making it ideal for elegant sweaters, cardigans, shawls, wraps, scarves, lace knitting, and sophisticated layering pieces. It is equally beautiful knitted alone or paired with Kid Mohair, Cashmere, Silk, Fine Merino, Alpaca, Linen, or other luxury yarns to create even richer fabrics with additional softness, halo, warmth, or texture.

Lightweight Warmth
Yak provides exceptional insulation while remaining remarkably lightweight, allowing garments to stay comfortably warm without unnecessary bulk.

⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
Yak down is one of the world's rarest and most luxurious natural fibers, prized for its remarkable softness, exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio, breathability, and natural ability to regulate temperature. Combined with premium Silk in an equal 50/50 blend, PAMIR TWEED achieves an outstanding balance of warmth, softness, elegant drape, durability, and timeless luxury.

What truly distinguishes PAMIR TWEED is its authentic tweed construction. The delicate multicolored flecks create refined visual texture throughout the knitted fabric, while the naturally dark Yak fibers introduce gentle earthy undertones and a soft halo. Together they produce fabrics with extraordinary depth and character that remain elegant, sophisticated, and unmistakably luxurious.

Its generous 700 meters per 100g also makes PAMIR TWEED an excellent choice for knitters who appreciate lightweight luxury garments with exceptional warmth, refined drape, and beautiful stitch definition.

➤ Important Note About the Colors
I highly recommend using the zoom feature on every color photo. PAMIR TWEED is far more beautiful in close-up than standard photographs can show. The magnified images reveal the delicate multicolored tweed flecks, the natural Yak halo, and the subtle tonal variations that give every color remarkable depth and sophistication. These beautiful details are one of the defining characteristics of this exceptional yarn.

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
