JOKER by Filitaly Lab, Italy is a distinctive Italian bulky yarn featuring a structured cable construction with an unexpectedly lightweight and ultra-soft feel. Despite its generous volume, this yarn remains airy and comfortable, making it ideal for statement garments that require warmth without heaviness.

Crafted from a refined blend of alpaca, merino wool, and supportive technical fibers, JOKER balances softness, durability, and structure. The cable construction enhances visual depth while maintaining flexibility and ease of movement in finished pieces.

Texture & Feel
Exceptionally light for a bulky yarn, with a plush yet breathable hand. The alpaca and merino contribute softness and warmth, while the cable construction provides body and visual interest. The fabric feels substantial but stays comfortable and wearable.

Knitting Sample Note
For the knitting sample, I used US #8 (5.0 mm) needles with a single strand, and it worked perfectly. With this luxurious bulky yarn, you can easily create a light, fluffy, and stylish sweater, cardigan, or even a light coat in just a few days.

Companion Yarn Recommendations
JOKER works beautifully when paired with:
• Smooth merino yarns – to enhance structure while maintaining softness
• Alpaca blends – for increased loft and warmth
• Fine mohair – to introduce a soft halo effect
• Tweed or textured yarns – for layered dimension in outerwear pieces
It can be held together with a finer base yarn to adjust density and reinforce edges such as collars, cuffs, and hems.

Recommended Uses
• Chunky sweaters and oversized cardigans
• Warm scarves and hats
• Coats and outer layers
• Structured winter garments
• Cozy accessories with volume

Recommended Needles & Hooks
• Knitting Needles: 5.0–7.0 mm (US 8–10.5) depending on desired density
• Crochet Hooks: 6.0–8.0 mm (US J–L)
Swatching is recommended to achieve the desired balance of drape and structure.

Weaving Suitability
Suitable for weaving in bold, textured fabrics. Best used for structured panels or outerwear-weight textiles. Sampling recommended due to the cable construction.

Care Instructions
• Hand wash gently in cold water
• Do not wring or twist
• Lay flat to dry

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEACE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

Shipping & Order Processing

Orders are prepared in the order received and typically ship within 3–5 business days. Custom requests such as cone winding may require additional time. Multiple orders placed before shipment may be combined. Shipping refunds are not issued for combined orders.

We ship worldwide with tracking provided. As customs policies and tariffs can change frequently, any duties, taxes, or import fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. These charges are not collected by us at the time of purchase but are typically paid to your local postal service or customs office upon the arrival of your package.
