BABY TINTO by GRUPPO FILPUCCI INDUSTRIE FILATI is a luxury Italian Baby Alpaca cable yarn with a soft fluffy halo, airy construction, and beautiful lightweight warmth. With approximately 450 meters per 100 g, this lace-weight yarn creates elegant, cozy fabric that looks rich and textured while remaining light, breathable, and comfortable to wear.

This is a cable-style yarn with a visible fine inner structure and soft alpaca fibers surrounding it, giving the yarn its airy volume, fluffy surface, and modern luxury look. The Baby Alpaca brings exceptional softness and warmth, Merino Wool adds elasticity and structure, and Polyester helps stabilize the yarn so the finished fabric stays light and wearable.

The bright ORANGE color gives this yarn a bold, joyful, fashion-forward look — perfect for statement sweaters, scarves, shawls, cardigans, and winter accessories that feel soft, warm, and eye-catching without being heavy.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
