HIMALAYA by GG FILATI is an extraordinary luxury Italian yarn blending Yak, Cashmere, Silk, and Merino into one exceptionally soft, warm, and refined lace-weight yarn designed for elegant knitwear and sophisticated cold-weather garments. With approximately 500 meters per 100 g, this yarn creates lightweight yet insulating fabric with beautiful softness, gentle halo, elegant drape, and a rich natural luxury appearance.

This is the kind of yarn that immediately feels expensive in your hands. Yak fiber gives the yarn warmth, strength, and beautiful depth of color, Cashmere adds softness and loft, Silk brings elegant drape and subtle sheen, while Merino contributes elasticity and structure. Together, these fibers create balanced luxury fabric that feels soft, breathable, warm, and incredibly wearable.

I personally knitted and washed a sample using two strands and US size 4 needles, and the result was truly amazing — soft, elegant, warm, and luxurious with beautiful stitch definition and excellent fabric behavior after washing.

This is exactly the type of yarn used for luxury sweaters, shawls, scarves, cardigans, and refined winter knitwear with a true high-end European appearance.

⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special

Yak fiber is especially prized because it is warmer than merino wool while remaining lightweight and breathable. Combined with cashmere and silk, the result is fabric that feels soft, elegant, insulating, and luxurious without heaviness.

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

Shipping & Order Processing

Orders are prepared in the order received and typically ship within 3–5 business days. Custom requests such as cone winding may require additional time. Multiple orders placed before shipment may be combined. Shipping refunds are not issued for combined orders.

We ship worldwide with tracking provided. As customs policies and tariffs can change frequently, any duties, taxes, or import fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. These charges are not collected by us at the time of purchase but are typically paid to your local postal service or customs office upon the arrival of your package.
