PAPIRO by Sessia, Italy is a refined luxury Italian Giza cotton yarn with approximately 1600 meters per 100 g. This ultra-fine lace weight yarn is soft, airy, breathable, and beautifully elegant, creating lightweight fabric with exceptional stitch definition, smooth texture, and a polished sophisticated finish.

Made from premium Giza cotton, PAPIRO feels noticeably softer, finer, and more refined than ordinary cotton yarns. The cable construction gives the yarn stability, strength, and a beautifully balanced structure while preserving softness and fluid drape. This is exactly the kind of elegant Italian cotton yarn used for luxury summer garments, lightweight layering pieces, crochet, weaving, and refined warm-weather knitwear.

Sessia describes PAPIRO as a “four-season classic yarn” with a soft caressing touch, exceptional comfort, and rich color depth — qualities that make this yarn especially versatile for timeless knitwear and sophisticated everyday garments.

⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
PAPIRO is made from premium Giza cotton — one of the most luxurious cotton fibers in the world, prized for its fineness, softness, durability, and silky smooth feel.

Unlike ordinary cotton yarns that can feel flat or heavy, PAPIRO creates fabric that feels elegant, breathable, lightweight, and refined. The cable construction gives the yarn stability and beautiful stitch definition while helping finished garments maintain structure without stiffness.

Because of its extra-fine lace construction, PAPIRO offers tremendous versatility. It can be used in multiple strands for hand knitting, in machine knitting, in crochet, or in weaving, allowing makers to build fabrics ranging from airy lightweight lace to more practical wearable garments.

This yarn is especially attractive for knitters and crocheters who love clean modern knitwear, breathable natural fibers, polished summer garments, and refined Italian luxury yarns.

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
