GENEVE by LINEAPIU ITALIA is a luxury Italian Super Kid Mohair yarn designed to create the soft halo, airy texture, and elegant lightweight fabric seen in high-end European designer knitwear. With approximately 1500 meters per 100 g, this extra-fine lace yarn gives knitters incredible flexibility — from delicate transparent fabrics to fuller luxury garments simply by adjusting strand count.

Super Kid Mohair is considered one of the finest and most valuable mohair fibers in the world because it comes from the first shearing of young Angora goats, usually around five to six months old. At this stage, the fibers are exceptionally fine, soft, lightweight, and silky compared to regular mohair, creating that beautiful floating halo luxury knitters love.

What makes GENEVE especially valuable is its balance. The Super Kid Mohair adds softness and elegant halo, wool contributes warmth and elasticity, while polyamide stabilizes the yarn and improves durability. The result is a refined fashion-quality yarn that feels airy and luxurious while remaining practical enough for sweaters, shawls, scarves, and layering garments.

Even a single strand held together with another yarn can dramatically transform the final fabric — making it softer, lighter, warmer, and visually more sophisticated.

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
