➤ My First Impressions
CARIAGGI has long been recognized as one of Italy's most prestigious spinning mills, and this yarn immediately feels like a true premium product.
Even on the cone, the yarn has a wonderfully soft, velvety touch. From my experience, blends like this become even more beautiful after washing, as the fibers relax, bloom gently, and develop an even richer hand.
What makes this composition so special is the perfect balance of three exceptional fibers. Merino creates an elastic, comfortable foundation, Cashmere adds unmistakable luxury and softness, while Silk contributes elegant drape and a refined finish. Together they produce one of my favorite "budget luxury" fiber combinations—it's surprisingly difficult to find a blend that offers more at this level.
Personally, I would knit this yarn in multiple strands for hand knitting. For most sweaters and pullovers, I would choose five strands with approximately 4.0 mm (US 6) needles. For lighter garments or finer fabrics, four strands would be my starting point. Needle size will always depend on your individual knitting style and the fabric you wish to achieve, so I highly recommend knitting a swatch first.
I genuinely love this yarn. To be honest, I am a fan of almost everything produced by CARIAGGI, but this particular combination of Merino, Cashmere, and Silk is especially impressive. It delivers everything I personally look for in a luxury knitting yarn: softness, beautiful drape, warmth, elegance, and versatility.

⚑ FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.
⚑ FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.
PLEASE BUY CONES HERE
Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.
Please Note
Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
