A rare luxury Italian 100% merino wool yarn originally made for MISSONI, prepared by iDOKNiT in 2 strands for easier use, with a final working yardage of approximately 1500 meters per 100 g. This ultra-fine lace yarn is ideal for machine knitting, weaving, companion-yarn projects, lightweight garments, shawls, scarves, and refined designer-style knitwear.
The original yarn is extremely fine at approximately 3000 meters per 100 g, so I wind it in 2 strands to make it more practical and attractive for real projects. I highly recommend using this yarn as a companion with a solid-color base yarn to highlight the beauty of the original MISSONI color pattern. It can also be used in multiple strands by itself, but the unique color combination may become less visible.

⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
This yarn was originally made for MISSONI, one of the most iconic Italian fashion houses known for artistic knitwear, refined color work, and luxury textile design.
The original yarn is extremely fine, but when wound in 2 strands it becomes much more usable while still preserving its delicate, lightweight character. This makes it especially valuable for knitters and textile artists who want fine Italian merino with a designer color effect.
The strongest way to use this yarn is as a companion strand with a solid-color yarn. This allows the MISSONI color pattern to remain visible and adds soft movement, depth, and designer character to the fabric.
✧ Fiber Profile
• 100% Merino Wool
• Soft and breathable
• Lightweight warmth
• Natural elasticity
• Elegant drape
• Fine stitch definition
• Comfortable next-to-skin feel
• Luxury Italian textile quality
➤ IMPORTANT — Yarn Usage
This is a lace-weight yarn and is not intended as a regular single-strand hand-knitting yarn for sweaters.
Best used:
• As a companion yarn with a solid-color base yarn
• For machine knitting
• For weaving
• For crochet
• For lightweight shawls and scarves
• In multiple strands for hand knitting
I highly recommend using this yarn with a solid-color companion yarn to underline the beauty and uniqueness of the original MISSONI color pattern. If used in many strands by itself, the special color combination may become softer and less visible.

⚑ FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.
⚑ FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.
PLEASE BUY CONES HERE
Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.
Please Note
Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
