MAGREB by NEW MILL, Italy is a refined lace-weight yarn spun from soft carded wool reinforced with polyamide for strength and durability. Lightweight, breathable, and resilient, this Italian yarn produces elegant fabrics with natural wool warmth while maintaining structure and elasticity.

With Nm 1/15000 construction, MAGREB is an extremely fine yarn. It is typically worked held double or triple in hand knitting to achieve practical gauge and structure, while single strand is ideal for fine-gauge machine knitting or delicate lace fabrics.

The addition of polyamide improves durability, making the yarn more resistant to abrasion and helping garments maintain their shape over time.

⌁ Structure & Behavior
MAGREB is an ultra-fine lace yarn. For hand knitting it is typically held double or triple to create practical gauge and balanced fabric structure.

The carded wool fiber creates a soft, slightly airy yarn with natural elasticity. The polyamide component reinforces the yarn, improving durability and helping finished garments retain shape.

After washing, the wool softens and the fabric develops a gentle bloom while maintaining stitch definition.

MAGREB by NEW MILL is ideal for lightweight sweaters, cardigans, scarves, and layered garments where softness, warmth, and durability are desired.

➤ Recommended Usage
• Hold double for fingering weight
• Hold triple for sport / light DK
• Suitable for blending with silk, alpaca, mohair, or cashmere

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
