Experience true luxury with ETEREOG by POLIPELI SPA, an exceptional Italian volumized brushed blown baby alpaca yarn designed to create incredibly light, airy, and remarkably warm knitwear. Its innovative blown construction allows the soft baby alpaca fibers to bloom into a delicate cloud-like halo while keeping the yarn surprisingly lightweight. Beautiful on its own or held together with another yarn, ETEREOG adds softness, warmth, and elegant texture without unnecessary bulk.

Unlike traditional brushed yarns that rely heavily on mohair, ETEREOG showcases the signature natural softness of high-grade baby alpaca. The structural blown core creates exceptional loft and insulation while ensuring your finished designer garments remain weightless and completely comfortable against the skin.

➤ My First Impressions:
I knitted my sample swatch using US Size 10 (6.0 mm) needles, and I enjoyed every minute of it. The yarn is incredibly light in your hands and glides effortlessly over the needles. It truly feels as if you are knitting with a soft, lightweight cloud.

What impressed me most was its exceptional softness. Even before washing, the yarn felt delicate and luxurious. After washing, however, the fabric became even softer and developed into an incredibly airy, warm fabric with a beautiful bloom. The finished swatch feels light as a feather while providing wonderful warmth.

Another quality I truly appreciate is its versatility. ETEREOG pairs beautifully with many other yarns, adding softness, warmth, and a delicate halo. At the same time, it is absolutely gorgeous on its own. If you are looking to create lightweight, airy knitwear without combining multiple strands, this yarn performs wonderfully as a single strand on larger needles to let the brushed halo fill the space.

⌁ Texture & Feel

Cloud-Like Blown Core: An open, volumized construction that holds warmth without trapping heavy weight.

Brushed Baby Alpaca Halo: An incredibly soft, fuzzy aura that feels velvety and comforting.

Featherlight Insulation: Delivers elite thermal warmth while remaining structurally weightless.

Zero-Itch Premium Touch: Uses premium alpaca instead of mohair, making it highly forgiving on sensitive skin.

➤ Why This Yarn Is Different:
Unlike many brushed yarns that rely on mohair, ETEREOG showcases the natural softness of baby alpaca. Its volumized blown construction creates excellent loft while keeping the finished garment surprisingly lightweight. The result is a yarn that offers warmth, softness, and an elegant halo without feeling heavy.

➤ Fiber Profile:
Baby Alpaca is prized for its remarkable softness, warmth, and silky touch. It is naturally lightweight while providing excellent insulation. The small amount of polyamide forms the internal support structure, giving the yarn stability while allowing the luxurious alpaca fibers to create their beautiful airy halo.

➤ Recommended Needles & Hooks:
• Knitting Needles: 5–7 mm (US 8–10½)
• Crochet Hook: 5–6 mm

➤ Recommended Projects:
ETEREOG is ideal for:
• Airy sweaters
• Cardigans
• Pullovers
• Shawls
• Wraps
• Scarves
• Cowls
• Hats
• Lightweight accessories

✦ Recommended Needles & Hooks

Knitting Needles: 5.0–7.0 mm (US 8–10½)

Crochet Hooks: 5.0–6.0 mm (US H-8 to J-10)

Always knit a gauge swatch and wet-block it first to observe exactly how the luxurious brushed baby alpaca halo expands and fills out the fabric layout.

➤ Weaving Suitability:
Its lightweight construction and soft halo also make ETEREOG suitable for creating airy woven scarves, wraps, and delicate luxury fabrics.

➤ Care Instructions:
• Hand wash in cool water using a gentle wool detergent.
• Do not wring or twist.
• Lay flat to dry.
• Reshape while damp.
• Store folded.
• As with any luxury yarn, I always recommend washing your swatch before beginning your project to see the full beauty of the finished fabric.

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

Shipping & Order Processing

Orders are prepared in the order received and typically ship within 3–5 business days. Custom requests such as cone winding may require additional time. Multiple orders placed before shipment may be combined. Shipping refunds are not issued for combined orders.

We ship worldwide with tracking provided. As customs policies and tariffs can change frequently, any duties, taxes, or import fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. These charges are not collected by us at the time of purchase but are typically paid to your local postal service or customs office upon the arrival of your package.
