SCOTLAND by SESIA is a refined 100% extrafine merino wool tweed, spun in Italy with exceptional balance, softness, and structure. Delicate tweed flecks are subtly embedded into a fine merino base, creating quiet visual depth without overpowering the fabric.
With its Nm 2/14 count and elegant 700 meters per 100 grams, SCOTLAND sits comfortably in the lace to light-fingering range, offering versatility for garments, accessories, and elevated layering pieces. The result is a yarn that feels light and soft in the hand, yet produces fabric with character, warmth, and timeless appeal.
Important note: This tweed is subtle and difficult to capture accurately on camera.
Please zoom the photos to see the delicate flecks and true texture of the yarn.

Formats: Balls (BY DEFAULT) or Cones (PLEASE PURCHASE)
⚑ FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.
⚑ FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.
PLEACE BUY CONES HERE
Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.
Please Note
Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
