SHERWOOL by SESIA, Italy is a refined lace-weight yarn spun from 100% premium lambswool. Soft, elastic, and naturally warm, this Italian-spun yarn offers excellent structure while remaining lightweight and breathable.

Lambswool comes from the first shearing, making it softer and more flexible than standard wool. The fabric develops a beautiful natural bloom after washing, enhancing warmth and softness while maintaining definition.

With Nm 3/15 construction and 500 meters per 100 grams, SHERWOOL is a true fine lace yarn best suited for holding multiple strands in hand knitting or using single strand for machine knitting.

⌁ Structure & Behavior
This is a fine lace yarn. For hand knitting, it is generally worked held double or triple to achieve practical gauge and structure. Single strand is more appropriate for delicate lace work or fine-gauge machine knitting.

After washing, the fiber blooms gently, becoming softer and fuller while preserving elasticity and stitch definition.

SHERWOOL by SESIA is ideal for refined sweaters, cardigans, and layered garments where warmth, elasticity, and true Italian lambswool character are desired.

➤ Recommended Usage

• Hold double for sport weight
• Hold triple for DK/light worsted
• Can be blended beautifully with silk, alpaca, mohair, or cashmere

For machine knitting:
• Suitable for single strand on fine-gauge machines
• Produces smooth, elastic fabric with elegant drape

• Approx. 3.5–4.0 mm

FOR FULL-CONE SALES, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE CONE. Yarn will remain on its original cone.

FOR YARN THAT IS NOT SOLD AS A FULL CONE BUT IN VARIOUS WOUND WEIGHTS, ALL YARN WILL BE WOUND INTO BALLS BY DEFAULT. CONES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE YARN PRICE. However, we can wind it onto cones upon request. Cones may be purchased separately if you prefer continuous yardage for machine knitting or multi-strand projects. One color is typically wound per cone to maintain consistency.

PLEACE BUY CONES HERE

Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.

Please Note

  • Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
  • Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
  • FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
  • Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
