Experience the effortless elegance of Italian summer knitting with G&G FILATI SILK-LINEN + PAILLETTES. This beautiful Italian yarn combines 70% premium linen with 30% luxurious silk, creating the perfect balance of crisp stitch definition, graceful drape, natural luster, and exceptional breathability. Delicate 3 mm paillettes are seamlessly integrated into the strand, adding a refined shimmer that catches the light without overpowering the fabric.
The addition of silk transforms traditional linen into a noticeably smoother and more fluid yarn while preserving everything knitters love about linen—its cool touch, durability, moisture management, and beautiful structure. Like all premium linen yarns, it becomes softer, more relaxed, and even more beautiful with every wash.
With approximately 380 meters (416 yards) per 100g, this fingering-weight yarn is ideal for elegant summer sweaters, lightweight cardigans, tunics, dresses, airy tops, lace shawls, scarves, wraps, and sophisticated everyday garments. Knit it alone to enjoy its beautiful stitch definition and subtle sparkle, or combine it with Kid Mohair, Cashmere, Fine Merino, Cotton, Alpaca, or another silk yarn for additional softness, texture, and dimension.
Imported directly from Italy, this exceptional natural-fiber blend brings timeless elegance and refined craftsmanship to every project.

Color 2424 — EMERALD MELANGE
A vibrant emerald green enriched by the natural melange effect created as linen and silk absorb dye differently. The result is a beautifully dimensional color with subtle tonal variation and exceptional depth. Matching 3 mm emerald-green paillettes blend seamlessly into the strand, adding an elegant shimmer that enhances the fabric without overpowering its natural beauty.
⌁ Texture & Feel
Beautiful Linen-Silk Balance
Linen provides structure, breathability, strength, and crisp stitch definition, while silk adds softness, graceful drape, and a natural luminous sheen.
Cool & Comfortable
This yarn feels naturally cool against the skin, making it an excellent choice for warm-weather garments and elegant year-round layering pieces.
Elegant Natural Drape
Silk softens the traditional crispness of linen, creating a fabric with beautiful movement while still maintaining structure and stitch definition.
Refined Paillette Shimmer
Delicate 2–3 mm paillettes are integrated directly into the yarn, producing a subtle shimmer that enhances your knitting with understated elegance rather than flashy sparkle.
Beautiful Melange Effect
Because linen and silk catch color and light differently, the yarn has a natural melange effect that adds depth, richness, and visual texture even to simple stitches.
Becomes Softer with Every Wash
Like all premium linen yarns, this blend continues to soften over time. Every wash and every wear improves the hand feel while preserving the yarn’s beautiful structure.
⚑ Why This Yarn Is Special
Silk and linen are a beautiful natural-fiber combination. Linen contributes strength, breathability, and durability, while silk adds softness, fluid drape, and natural shine. Together they create an elegant summer yarn that feels cool, refined, and comfortable to wear.
The integrated paillettes add a sophisticated sparkle without sacrificing comfort. The result is a fabric that can look casual, elegant, or evening-ready depending on the project.

➤ My Knitting Experience
I knitted my swatch using US size 4 (3.5 mm) needles with a single strand, and I genuinely loved the result. The fabric has beautiful drape and immediately made me think of elegant summer tunics, lightweight tops, and delicate see-through garments.
Although this is a linen yarn, it was surprisingly pleasant to knit. The silk makes a noticeable difference, and the stitches form beautifully. After washing, the swatch remained nicely structured, just as quality linen should. As I handled it, it became softer and softer—a wonderful characteristic of premium linen.
The paillettes were another pleasant surprise. They don’t scratch at all and create a refined, elegant shimmer. The blend of silk and linen also gives the yarn a beautiful natural melange effect that adds depth and character to even simple stitches.
Highly recommended—this is one of the nicest silk-linen yarns I’ve had the pleasure of knitting.

⟳ Care Instructions
Hand wash gently in cool water (30°C / 86°F) using a mild detergent suitable for silk and delicate fibers. Do not wring or twist. Press excess moisture into a clean towel and lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight or heat. Do not tumble dry. Light steaming from a distance will help relax the fibers, enhance the drape, and reveal the yarn’s beautiful natural sheen.

PLEASE BUY CONES HERE
Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.
Please Note
Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
