✦ Texture & Feel:
Light, smooth, and airy with a subtle natural softness from cashmere. The cotton brings a crisp hand and structure, while the cashmere adds warmth and luxury without heaviness. The resulting fabric is soft, breathable, and elegantly refined — ideal for fine-gauge knitwear.
➤ A Note from the Knitter:
This yarn feels wonderful to work with — gliding effortlessly on the needles and resulting in a fabric that’s smooth, fresh, and delicately soft. It’s perfect for transitional pieces that can be worn across seasons.
✧ Knitting & Usage Recommendations:
While this is an incredibly fine yarn, it is also quite strong. Knitting with a single thread is not recommended because it is too thin for most projects. For best results, begin with at least 3 strands held together to achieve a stable, smooth fabric with excellent drape and structure.
• 3 strands – Light Sport weight, ideal for tops, sweaters, and cardigans
• 4–5 strands – DK weight, perfect for pullovers, baby garments, and cozy transitional pieces
• 6 strands or more – Heavier DK / light worsted for jackets or accessories
Beautifully suited to both hand and machine knitting, this yarn offers graceful movement on the needles and crisp stitch definition in simple patterns or smooth stockinette.
⋔ Weaving Recommendations:
This yarn is highly recommended for both warp and weft. The cotton provides a good degree of structure and strength needed for the warp, while the cashmere content softens the cotton beautifully, making it an excellent choice for the weft. This combination is ideal for creating fine, breathable, and luxurious woven scarves, shawls, and garment fabrics.
✧Recommended Use:
• Garments: Fine sweaters, tops, and cardigans
• Shawls & Wraps: Airy with delicate drape
• Babywear: Gentle, natural, breathable
• Accessories: Scarves and light knits
✧ Recommended Needles & Hooks (Based on 3-Ply Knitting - Creating a Sport Weight):
• For knitting with three threads (creating a Sport weight), we recommend 3.25–3.75 mm (US 3–5) needles. The general gauge is 24–26 stitches per 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch. Use the smaller end of the range (3.25mm) for a denser fabric, and the larger end (3.75mm) for a softer drape.
• For crochet, use hooks in the range of 3.5–4.5 mm (E-4 to 7).
➤ Estimated Usage:
Here is the expanded list of estimated yarn usage for the CASHCO-10 yarn, assuming you are knitting with 3 threads held together (creating a Sport weight):

PLEACE BUY CONES HERE
Unlike other shops where cone costs are often built into the yarn price—regardless of the format—our pricing is transparent. You pay only for the yarn itself. If you’d like your order wound on a cone, it can be purchased separately. This small additional charge also helps cover packaging differences and the actual cost of the cone. No hidden fees, no inflated markups—just honest, straightforward pricing.
Please Note
Please Note
- Please keep in mind: cone yarns, especially those made with extra fine merino or cashmere, may include a protective coating used for industrial knitting. A few gentle washes will allow the yarn to bloom, soften, and reveal its natural texture.
- Colors are photographed in natural light but may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
- FOR YARN THAT IS CUSTOM-WOUND, ±1–2g variation per 100g may occur due to winding.
- Each ball/cone is wound with care and packed securely to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
